For those of you who are interested in learning more about Filipino culture and how UCFSA contributes in educating both University of
Calgary students and the general public this is your chance! Our student organization is celebrating its 20th year as a Student's Union sanctioned
club. We dedicate our time into educating about Filipino culture, particularly in the form of dance, and have been doing so for 20 years.
This event will bring together past and present members for a chance to see just how much our association has changed and improved over the years.

BACK TO SCHOOL! CLUBS WEEK! -- September 14, 2011

First of all we would like to welcome all the first years at the University of Calgary! Hope your first year on campus is filled with tons of learning, fun, and more fun!
And also welcome back to all continuing students! May this year prove to be better than the last!
We would like to invite EVERYONE, first years and continuing students alike, to join us next week from September 19th til the 23rd for Clubs Week! You can find the ucFSA table,
along with numerous other student clubs, in the Southern Lobby of McEwan Students' Center (this is the area close to the SU clubs office, the Stor, Dairy Queen, etc). Be sure to sign up for all those student clubs that pique your interest.
And ANYONE and EVERYONE are most definitely welcome to find us to learn more about ucFSA and what we do!

CALLING ALL ARTISTS AND PERFORMERS -- August 20, 2011

Exposed: Fine Arts Gala is in its third year running! Join us this November for a chance for artists and performers to expose and show case
their talents!
We call on anyone and everyone who might be interested in showing of their skills in the visual and performing arts! For more information contact ucFSA via email.
Or you may contact the head events coordinator, Ariam Wolde-Giorgis via email at ariam.wg@gmail.com.
In the email leave us your name and contact information and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
Also let us know what you would be interested in show casing. If you are an artist or designer tell us what medium you will be using. Keep in mind that there will be a limit on the number of pieces you may have as we will try
our best to accommodate everyone. Now if you are a singer or dancer tell us what you will be doing and if you are part of a group, in which case we would like to know how many members you have. Like the artists, there will be
a limit on the amount of numbers you may be able to perform during the night. More information will be posted soon!

GLOBAL FEST; A WORLD OF DIFFERENCE -- August 16, 2011

The much anticipated fireworks display of the year begins this Friday, August 19. Be sure to purchase your tickets!
General admission is $15 at the gate, children ages 5 and under are FREE.
ucFSA will be performing three out of the five days. Come support us and all the other wonderful performers at this year's Global Fest.

A reminder for all team members! There will be an exec meeting tomorrow at 5pm in the ICT building. Followed by the Anniversary Gala meeting at 6pm,
for which the alumni are very much invited to attend and participate in.
